Interestingly, Nigerian music seems to have gained wide recognition in many parts of the world that even very big-named foreign stars want to work with them.
Just recently, Beyonce featured a number of Nigerian artistes on her Lion King album to the joy of fans. Some of the artistes includes Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Tekno, Yemi Alade, Wizkid and Mr Eazi.
Despite the good news, not everyone seems happy at the queen bee’s choice of featured artistes. Kenyan singer, Victoria Kimani, took to her Twitter page to react to the news.
According to Kimani, even though she is happy for her fellow African artistes, she is not pleased that Kenyan singers were excluded from the project. She tweeted further that the thought of it is depressing seeing as the Lion King movie is based on Kenya.
See her tweet below:
As much as we celebrate with our fellow Africans …. The obvious exclusion of Kenyans / East Africans on this Soundtrack is Depressing…. The movie was based on KENYA 🇰🇪
